  We've been coming to Mi Carbonero for years! It's our go-to spot for all things Salvi food. Bottom line, the food is good, the place is clean, & everyone is super friendly. I did notice that their prices went up a bit, but I guess that's the case everywhere. They used to have a deal on Thursdays for discounted pupusas (not sure if this is still the case).
  
  With all that said, they are a bit slow in service. I placed a phone order in which I was told 20 minutes. I came in at 20 minutes, but still had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get my order, despite the place not being super busy. They did check in with me periodically, however - which I appreciate. And, they do have a sign indicating that service is slow. So, you have been warned.

  Wow I'm disgusted and at a loss of words!!!! If I could give this place a -star I would!!!!!
  I came to dine in with my fiancé and found this in our curtido! When we told the lady she walked away and left us hanging finally when she decided to handle the situation she offers us a DISCOUNT!!!!!! Can you believe that!!!! A discount? Like what? When I told her I wasn't paying for it she gave me the worst look possible! Walked away and left us hanging again!!! We went up to the register and asked one of the other workers if there was a manager and she said no with an attitude... all while this was happening the servers where in the back laughing!!!! Idk how and why there's an A in front of the store I've never seen a restaurant with an A grade have COCKROACHES in their food! never returning there again! !

  I'M DONE WITH THIS F*CKING RESTAURANT!!! My mom and I went to give it another chance. The last time we came the food wasn't too good but we were craving some Platanos con crema y frijoles and Pupusas de queso (nothing major to make; some basic Salvadorean food). So we order our food at around 7pm. They bring us our drinks and some chips and salsa. I begin to look around because a family that had been serviced their food was done eating and was getting ready to go. By this time it's about 740-745. A waitress passes by and asks if our order has been taken!!! I complain that we have been waiting for about 45 minutes for our food. Her excuse ..."you came at a time when there was a big influx of to-go orders and the one that took your order didn't mention that"!!!!!! The waitress said she will bring our order shortly. I told my mom that if they don't bring the food in 10 minutes then we're leaving.  THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED!!! We left and I shouldn't have but I did leave four bucks for the drinks we ordered. WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK!!!

  I love the food here it's always so delicious they never seem to fail! Customer service is really good I've been there many times & I've never had any issues, the food does take long a little but the wait is totally worth it.
  Would recommend if you're just looking for a quick bite to grab for yourself or if you're trying to go and spend it with your family

  So disgusted was there 10/29/19 and over heard someone had a cockroach in their food!!! I saw it and saw the way the workers treated the couple. It felt as if it were done on purpose. Full grown adults acting like dumb kids. Laughing in the back. Offered them a discount??!! Wtf?? A discount??!! Asked them to leave. This place is horrible don't come. Dumb immature people in a disgusting work place. Not worth your money don't take a risk getting bugs in your food. Don't understand how this place got an A. So gross. I'll def be calling health department on this place.
